Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
The FIFO Insider (thefifoinsider.com) is operated from Western Australia. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information responsibly. Where applicable, we handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What We Collect
Contact details When you download a free guide, request a resume review, purchase a service, or contact us, we may collect your name and email address.
Resume files If you use our free resume review or purchase our resume optimisation service, we collect the resume you upload or email to us. Your resume may contain personal information such as your work history, contact details, licences and qualifications.
Payment information Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full payment card details. We receive confirmation that payment has been made, together with limited information such as your name, email address and transaction reference.
Booking details If you book a consultation, Calendly collects your name, email address and chosen appointment time on our behalf.
Technical information Like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring website and device information through cookies and analytics tools.
How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
- Deliver the guide, review, service or consultation you requested.
- Process payments and provide receipts.
- Respond to your enquiries.
- Send you emails you have subscribed to, including FIFO career advice and information about our products and services.
- Improve our website and user experience.
- Protect our website from spam, fraud, abuse and security threats.
- Comply with our legal and taxation obligations.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Automated Resume Review
Our free resume review uses artificial intelligence to analyse and score your resume. When you submit a resume, its contents are securely processed by Anthropic, a United States based AI service provider, to generate your score and feedback.
Your resume is processed solely for the purpose of generating your review and providing the requested service. We do not use your resume for marketing purposes.
To help prevent misuse of our free review service, we temporarily retain your email address to enforce our fair-use limit of one review per person per day.
Our paid resume optimisation service is separate from the automated review and is personally completed by The FIFO Insider.
Purchases
When you purchase a product or service from us, we collect the information reasonably necessary to process your order, deliver your purchase, provide customer support, issue invoices and comply with Australian legal and taxation requirements.
Marketing Emails
If you download one of our free guides or subscribe to our mailing list, you may receive follow-up emails containing FIFO career advice, industry updates and information about our products and services.
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
We use MailerLite to manage our email communications.

- MailerLite: email marketing and subscriber management
- Stripe (via WP Simple Pay): payment processing

- Email subscribers are retained until they unsubscribe.

While no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, we take reasonable steps to safeguard the information entrusted to us.
